Moderation and Contributions at Zhongguancun Forum AI Young Scientists Forum 2026

Dr. Ammar Younas moderated the AI Ethics and Governance panel at the Zhongguancun Forum AI Young Scientists Forum, hosted by Renmin University of China. The session convened leading scholars, experts, and young scientists to discuss critical themes including AI ethics, governance frameworks, cultural perspectives, and international cooperation.

In addition to moderating the panel, he participated in the launch of the “Upholding Humanistic Values and Jointly Building AI with Warmth” Youth Initiative, which brought together participants from academia, policy, and industry to promote human-centered approaches to artificial intelligence development.

The forum also marked the release of the UNESCO ICCSD report on “Artificial Intelligence for High-Quality Cultural Development,” to which he contributed as an author. The report highlights the growing importance of cultural context, ethical governance, and human-centered values in shaping global AI futures.
